Maggie Fair

Next weekend is Garmouth's annual Maggie Fair. This year they are running a pet show and have asked me to make the rosettes.

Rosettes are for 1st-3rd in 7 fun classes.

As most of the entrants will be children I thought we'd go with bright colours (and I love the star ribbon which was bought in for another order).

Above are for Best Pet, Best Dog and Best In Show.

Best In Show

Good luck to all entering, have a great time!

Oh Fair Maiden.....

This is Fairmaid, Sabinhay Fairmaid to be precise..........owned, handled and adored by Christine Hartland. Fairmaid is almost nine but that doesn't stop her strutting her stuff at the world's most famous dog show...at Crufts 2010 she came second in Veteran Bitch!!

As a memento of such a great achievement Christine asked me to make a special rosette. We went with a blue theme as it was a second place....and gold as it was such a special second place.

I went slightly over the top with this rosette and thoroughly enjoyed making it........thanks so much Christine for entrusting me with such a project, a very special rosette for your very special girl....i'm glad you like it xx

You've Been Framed!

Remember the wedding rosette I made a while ago?

Well the happy couple emailed me to say they had had it framed! I am so happy they liked it enough to give it a lovely frame and hang it in their living room....makes me all warm and fuzzy :o)

Golden Girl

Becky Saunderson of Crobeag Golden Retrievers will be travelling down to Crufts with her family where she is entered into the Junior Handling with her dog Whisper. Her Mum Esmé asked me to make a Good Luck rosette for her...and of course, it had to be GOLDEN!

As the rosette is a surprise, I can't publish this until the show but still wish Becky the very best of luck on the day, i'm sure this won't be the only rosette she'll come home with!

Banff, Moray & Nairn CC Christmas Rosettes

We have a match at BMN before we break for Christmas and I was delighted to do the rosettes again.

I asked for a colour suggestion and someone said purple, so purple & gold seemed festive enough.....and I got to use the last of my gold ribbon!

I like to try different effects so this time I wrapped some of the purple tiers in gold pillow pleats.

The club is splashing out and there seems to be something for everyone this time....we even have a ribbon for best down-stay!

The one with turquoise tail is the Best of the Rest rosette, we only remembered about it once the printed tails had already been ordered.

Good luck to everyone at the match tonight!

Spey Valley Christmas Party

I was asked by Spey Valley DTC to do the rosettes for the Christmas party next week.

The order was two sets of 1st-6th place, not very festive as it was quite short notice but I got to use up alot of ribbon I already had.

Best Goldfish in Bowl?

Well, I never thought i'd see the day i'd be making rosettes for goldfish! When a friend's neighbour's little girls asked her why you didn't get ribbons for fish she couldn't resist asking me and I was delighted to make them ......twice up and down and then once around the bowl please!

I thought i'd try something different with the printed tails so I cut them short and set them off-centre. (Caitlin and Pizza are the fish's names!)

Hope you like them, little girls!
